The World Economic Forum has launched in Davos amid fears of a global slowdown or even a recession looming larger over the gathering of the rich and powerful. DW spoke to WEF President Borge Brende about growth in 2019.
Over nearly 10 years, the world economy has been growing by a moderate but steady clip. In 2019 though, risks such as Brexit, trade wars and higher interest rates could spell the end to an unprecedented economic boom.
