A gas shortage in Angola, one of Africa's leading oil producers, means drivers in the capital Luanda have to form lengthy queues to fill up their tanks. The shortages are causing problems for those who drive for a living.

Crude production is set to continue expanding in the United States thanks to shale oil, with the country becoming a net oil exporter from 2021, Low production costs there have led to a boom in production. This should help the United States soon surpass Russia and challenge Saudi Arabia as the world's top exporter.
