The leaders of the world’s biggest economies are expected to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos. But arguaby the biggest highlight this year is expected to be the attendance of US President Trump.
The Polish Economic Forum in Krynica-Zdroj is often dubbed "Poland's Davos," offering a wide range of debates on global or regional economic issues. DW's Jo Harper shares his personal view on the gathering.
As the UN General Assembly gathers, New York is also hosting another meeting, organized by the WEF — the Sustainable Development Impact Summit. The gathering showcases how entrepreneurs can act sustainably.
This year, Davos is a meeting of scientists as well. Numerous Nobel laureates exchange ideas in well-heated conference rooms, others camp out on mountain tops to draw attention to their findings.
