Volvo plans to test self-driving cars in China

Swedish automaker Volvo will send up to 100 self-driving cars to China for testing on public roads in regular conditions. China has been more open to welcome self-driving cars than others - the country is eyeing solutions to the heavy traffic congestion that plagues its cities. Volvo is owned by Chinese auto giant Geely and plans to sell its first self-driving cars to customers in China in 2020.
