Volmer, Florian

Florian Volmer is currently involved in developing new concepts of governmental communication including digital media at Academy of the German Armed Forces for Information and Communication (AIK). Until February 2011 Volmer was speechwriter in the policy planning staff of the German Federal Ministry of Defence (BMVg). Before joining the BMVg, Volmer spent three years as public affairs consultant, focusing on international financial policy. Before and during his studies of political science, economic policy and history, Volmer worked for almost 10 years as a freelance journalist for Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung (WAZ) and had further professional insights in the German Embassy Washington DC, the Bundestag and the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP).
