Verena Bentele - Government Commissioner for Matters relating to Disabled Persons

Blind Paralympic biathlete and cross-country skier Verena Bentele has been named Germany's new Government Commissioner for Matters relating to Disabled Persons. A winner of five gold medals at the 2010 Winter Paralympics, she's now been appointed to fight for the rights of people with disabilities. Verena Bentele recently joined the SPD party.
