The UK has told Iran that an Iranian tanker seized by British forces off the coast of Gibraltar last week would be released, so long as it did not go to Syria. Iran has pledged to continue oil exports.
Three German children along with their German "IS" mother must be brought back from a Syrian refugee camp, a Berlin court has told the Foreign Ministry. The judiciary cited state obligation to protect citizens abroad.
Police said the four crew members of the Grace 1 are still under investigation. Their release came as the UK said it would send a second naval frigate to the Persian Gulf amid escalating tensions with Iran.
US representatives had requested Germany increase their military presence in Syria as the US plans to move its own troops out of Syria in the near future. Germany has said it is already making "significant" contribution.
