Ukraine, Russia escalate attacks on energy infrastructure

Ukraine and Russia are continuing to target each other's energy infrastructure. Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries have caused gas prices to soar. Meanwhile, as winter approaches, Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine's national power grid.

Ukraine has launched more than two dozen drone strikes on Russian oil refineries since August, triggering fuel shortages in regions like Vladivostok and Crimea.

Moscow is importing fuel from Belarus and repairing damaged infrastructure, but as fuel prices rise, experts warn of a broader economic fallout.

Meanwhile, Ukraine is accelerating drone development as both nations target each other's energy sectors in what some are calling an "energy war."
