Speaking on DW's Conflict Zone, conservative lawmaker Andreas Schwab criticized the role played by eastern European countries in the selection of candidates for the EU's key positions.
It's the Czech Republic's largest protest since 1989. Some 250,000 people have taken to the street calling for Andrej Babis to resign amid a corruption scandal that intertwines his government and former business empire.
EU member states have accepted the list of commissioners put forward by the European Commission's president-elect. For the first time, the commission could have almost as many women as men as members.
