Sportfreunde Lotte have surprised many by seeing off Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen to reach the quarterfinals of the German Cup. In German giants Borussia Dortmund they are now set to face an even bigger challenge.
A last gasp goal from captain Marco Reus saved Dortmund from penalties against lower league opponents for the second time this season. Elsewhere, Leipzig knocked out their future boss and Leverkusen turned on the style.
