The idea of a bonus of 2,500 Euros for people who scrap cars older than nine years had a mixed response

Sebastian KatzerJanuary 14, 2009

This financial crisis had a major impact on the car industry... and with Germany catering mostly to the high end market, it is feeling the pinch. The Association of Automobile Industry here has welcomed government plans to give one and half Bbillion Euros to the sector - saying this would give a boost to domestic car makers like BMW and Daimler which have seen their sales plunge. Another proposal in the government's stimulus package.. is a bonus of 2,500 Euros for people who scrap cars older than nine years nad buy a new one. This idea has had a mixed response. +++ SYN-MAZ +++
