The burden of Alzheimer’s in Kenya

57-year old Sabina Njoki suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and depends on her two daughters for care. Her family found out about her condition by browsing the internet. There’s little support for Alzheimer’s sufferers in the country. The Alzheimer's Association of Kenya tries to fill that gap. Staffed by volunteers, it offers moral support, but there is no state help for afflicted families.
