Germany's Sabine Lisicki has eliminated defending champion Serena Williams from Wimbledon in the fourth round. Lisicki is a win away from the semifinals.

On the men's side, German veteran Tommy Haas failed to get past top-ranked Novak Djokovic for a spot in the final eight. Djokovic won 6-1, 6-4, 7-6(4).
