But it wasn't until 2002 when they changed their name to Silbermond and started singing in German that things really took off. Since then, they have become one of the most successful pop groups in Germany.

Frontwoman Stefanie Kloß was born in 1984 in Bautzen, a small town in Saxony. Through a musical project in a youth center she met her fellow band members. That was 1998. Since then she's been making music with Andreas Nowak and brothers Thomas and Johannes Stolle. They grew up, went to school and moved to Berlin together. Together, they developed musically from a cover band singing English language songs to an extremely successful German language pop group. They've received seven Echos, an MTV Europe Award and numerous other prizes. Their fourth album,  'Heaven open' was released in March 2012. In May Silbermond start a German and European tour.
