Springate, Christopher

Christopher Springate is a project manager and broadcast journalism trainer for Deutsche Welle’s media development and training organization, DW-AKADEMIE, and a host and reporter for DW-TV. He has been hosting DW-TV’s weekly politics program, “People and Politics”, since 1999 and also worked as a political correspondent at the station for nine years. Previously, he worked for the BBC World Service, New Statesman and Society (a London weekly), local Berlin radio and several national newspapers in the UK. Born in Hong Kong, he spent much of his childhood abroad. He studied languages and journalism in Cambridge, London and Paris.
