"SERENITY"

MeethirigalaForestHermitage, founded in 1967, is one of the largest meditation monasteries. It extends nearly 500 acres and is situated in a tropical forest. It provides accommodation for Buddhist visitors and meditation practitioners. The picture depicts the resident monks on PINDAPATHA (alms round) - and the devotees serve lunch in the round bowls (PATHRA) which are used by monks.
