In light of dwindling membership numbers, church parishes all over Germany are turning to the option of selling their buildings. The Lutheran congregation in Hannover's Linden district is among them. In the 1950s it still had 25,000 members; now there are just 5,000. So it's planning to sell one of its two churches.
