Journalist and Foreign Correspondent for the Middle East (DW, DIE WELT, GEO)
Amira Sayed El Ahl is currently working in Egypt for Deutsche Welle, Die Welt and GEO, among others. She is an expert for journalism in the context of Middle Eastern society, politics and culture topics. In 2009, she conducted a workshop on web journalism for Li-Lak, the German-Arabic Website of the Goethe-Institut. Being born in Germany, having studied in England and now living and working in Egypt, she has a special perspective on the roles media can play in different cultural contexts.
