Russian gas ban creates 'high uncertainty' in EU economies

The EU wants to end coal imports from Russia, but has stopped short of cutting gas supplies in a fresh round of sanctions. Karen Pittel from the German ifo think tank told DW a ban on gas is easier said than done.

Laos economic crisis intensifies amid massive Chinese debt 09.08.2022

Laos is facing one of its worst economic crises in decades, with the country experiencing galloping inflation and staring at a debt default.
