Rodrigues, Gilberto Marcos Antonio

Professor of International Relations, Federal University of ABC, São Paolo, Brazil

Gilberto Marcos Antonio Rodrigues is a professor of international relations at the Universidade Federal do ABC (Federal University of ABC) in São Paulo, Brazil. He is also a member of the Group of Analysis of Conflict Prevention (GAPCon) and a Board Member of the Coordinadora Regional de Investigaciones Económicas y Sociales (CRIES), a Latin American network of civil society organizations, which also functions as the regional network for the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC) for Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2012 he was the inaugural holder of the Brazilian Fulbright Scholarship Program on Human Rights as a visiting scholar at the Center for Civil and Human Rights at the University of Notre Dame in the United States. He holds a Ph.D. in international relations, a LL.B. from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, a MSc. in international relations from the University for Peace in Costa Rica, and a Diploma in Conflict Resolution from Uppsala University in Sweden.
