Every year, hundreds of thousands set off on a perilous journey through Central America to escape violence and economic misery. It’s a trip full of dangers and risks, especially for women and children. The hope is to start a new life in the US.

Miriam and Karen and their children have embarked on a perilous trip to escape violence and misery in Honduras. They face many obstacles and dangers. They can't afford tickets on a passenger train through Mexico so they’re travelling on La Bestia, a freight train. A report by Ofelia Harms Arruti.
