Rafael Nadal has crushed his rival Roger Federer and advanced to the finals of the Australian Open. Nadal will play Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka for the Grand Slam title in Melbourne on Sunday.
Rafael Nadal beat Roger Federer in straight sets on Friday earning him a ticket to his third Australian Open final.
Top seed Nadal defeated the 17-time Grand Slam champion 7-6 (7/4), 6-3, 6-3 at Rod Laver Arena.
Nadal dominated the match despite a nasty-looking blister on his left palm.
The Spanish top seed will play eighth seed Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland on Sunday in the final.
Wawrinka advanced to what will be his first Grand Slam final after besting Czech Tomas Berdych on Thursday 6-3, 6-7 (1-7), 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-4).
