Together with his German counterpart, Qatar's Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has opened a Qatari cultural center in Berlin. Speaking to DW, he accused Saudi Arabia of undermining security in the Gulf region.
Qatar is leaving OPEC. The Gulf country's government has said the move is mainly for economic reasons, but dramatically worsened ties with some of its neighbors also played a significant role.

The Gulf nation of Qatar's new energy minister said that his country will leave OPEC effective January of 2019. He said that he had informed OPEC of his decision ahead of his announcement.
Gianni Infantino has asked Qatar if it would share games with Saudi Arabia and other rival countries in the Gulf. Saudi Arabia has been leading a blockade of the small desert country since 2017.
