A wide public now has access to DW-AKADEMIE’s expert knowledge with a new series of books published by the Berlin-based publishing house Vistas Verlag. The first volume is the German-language Handbuch International Media Studies (Handbook on International Media Studies) and contains 15 articles by experienced journalists and respected academics. The articles include the analysis of correlations between media and development, show current shifts in the work of international journalists and address questions regarding the journalism trade.

The International Media Studies series takes its name from the Master’s program offered by DW-AKADEMIE in cooperation with Bonn University and the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. This interdisciplinary and bilingual Master’s program combines the disciplines of media and development, journalism, communications and media management.
