The normally busy streets of Kinshasa, capital of DRC were unusually quiet on Wednesday as residents took part in a general strike called by the opposition to oppose President Joseph Kabila's coninued stay in power. Kabila's term expires in December, but a deal between the ruling coalition and other smaller parties has not been reached. DW' Patrice Chitera describes the events of the day.
