Nolde's Flowers

October 3, 2013

Explosive color and an affinity with nature are hallmarks of Emil Nolde's work. His life-long love of flowers are a focus of an exhibition at the Frieder Burda Museum in Baden-Baden. Nolde's own garden was the inspiration for many of his paintings, and the organizers planted four flower beds in front of the museum to highlight the importance of nature to his work.
