Nasdaq Deutschland to Close in August

The technology bourse Nasdaq Deutschland will close on August 29, the company's supervisory board announced on Tuesday. The German offshoot of the U.S. exchange only began business in March. Nasdaq, which was the main shareholder in the German offshoot, has said it will focus on its core U.S. market. Nasdaq Deutschland shares held by Nasdaq Europe, Commerzbank, Comdirect and Dresdner Bank would be transferred to BWB Holding, Nasdaq announced. BWB Holding runs the Berlin-Bremen stock exchange.
