Migrants stuck in political battle at Belarusian-Polish border

Cold and hunger have gripped the area where aid agencies are warning of a humanitarian crisis. The EU accuses Belarus of creating the crisis by luring migrants with the hope of entering the Bloc – in retaliation for sanctions levied against it.

Poland has accused Belarusian authorities of escorting migrants to its border crossing for propaganda purposes. Meanwhile, Germany's chancellor spoke with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. DW has the latest.
