In Louisiana, home to Cajun and Creole culture and cuisine, schools are fighting to keep the French language alive. The dialect emerged in the late 1700s, but today only about 5% of the state speak it. Without it, they say, a vibrant part of Louisiana's identity will be lost. Freddy Chick spoke to a French teacher in New Orleans.
