Caring for crocodiles in Belize

Crocodiles have a reputation as fierce, man-eating predators. Despite their bad press, crocodiles are a vital part of rivers and lagoons. And in Belize, crocodiles are a common sight. But pollution, illegal hunting and habitat loss are increasingly putting these ancient reptiles at risk. People and crocodiles can peacefully coexist, conservationists there say — but this isn't always easy.
