Journalist
Ulrike Langer has been a freelance media journalist since 1995. She specializes in topics related to shifts in journalism and digital media. Langer frequently conducts seminars, holds lectures and appears as a host and expert at congresses. She writes for trade magazines such as Medium Magazin and Horizont, to name just two. Currently Langer is co-editing a textbook on new, digital journalism being compiled by a team of 15 renowned authors. Following a journalism traineeship at Bonn-based newspaper General-Anzeiger from 1992 – 1994, Langer worked for The Oregonian in Portland, Oregon in 1994 as part of the international Arthur F. Burns Fellowship program. She runs a blog called medialdigital.de and her Twitter name is @mauisurfer25.
