Tens of thousands people have met in Wittenberg to celebrate the end of the 36th German Protestant Congress.
The German Protestant Kirchentag is drawing record crowds for the Reformation’s quincentenary. 2017, Martin Luther‘s university town Wittenberg joins Berlin in the spotlight.
Kicking off the summer celebrations of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, more than 100,000 people turn out for the Kirchentag service in Luther's home town. Resident DW agnostic Jefferson Chase was among them.
