The nascent democracy was shaken by the Bardo Museum attack in Tunesia, where 23 people were killed. The self-proclaimed Sunni militant group "Islamic State" (IS) group initially claimed responsibility.
Eighty-nine South and North Koreans have taken part in reunions of family members who have not seen each other since they were separated by the 1950-1953 Korean War. Many had thought they would not see each other again.
Dozens of elderly South Koreans entered North Korea for a long-awaited reunion with relatives separated since the Korean War nearly seven decades ago. The reunions were approved by the leaders of the two Koreas at a historic summit in April.
The Berlin Wall divided the city for 28 years. As from October, a fake replica is to be erected on the Unter den Linden boulevard. It is part of an art project of the cultural event Berliner Festspiele.
