Inside Europe: A Postcard from Crete

The island of Crete in the southern Mediterranean is known for its independent spirit despite centuries of foreign occupiers. It was only united with Greece a little over a century ago, and its frequent juxtaposition of ancient sites and ultra-modern trappings has put correspondent Alexa Dvorson in somewhat of a time warp.
