Editorial Director of “Nürnberger Nachrichten”
Joachim Hauck, born 1951 in Nuremberg, is editor-in-chief of Nürnberger Nachrichten, the biggest newspaper in Northern Bavaria with a daily circulation of 260,000. He started his career in journalism as a volunteer at the Nordbayerische Nachrichten and switched to covering politics at the Nürnberger Nachrichten soon after. He was responsible for social policies first, later managing the national politics desk and became editor in chief in 1994. Hauck is involved in the training of young journalists and is a lecturer at the Bavarian Press Academy. He founded a partnership of German and Turkish journalists and helps support immigrants in Nuremberg.
