Authorities in Guatemala say mudslides have buried at least 100 people as a result of heavy rains from Hurricane Eta. The storm has been downgraded, but it’s still flooding many inhabited regions.

Landslides and rising floodwaters have caused more than 50 deaths in Guatemala, Nicaragua and Honduras. Central America was hit by Eta as category 4 hurricane, which has weakened to a tropical depression.
Tropical Storm Eta has already left dozens dead and over 100 missing in Central America. It has now made landfall in Cuba, prompting the US to put parts of southern Florida and the Keys on hurricane watch.
