German SMEs offer training and hope to refugees

Among the one million refugees in Germany, there are many young people at just the right age to start a career.

The German business community promised to give them a chance, but many large companies are only offering apprenticeships. Smaller firms are doing more. One auto company in the eastern German state of Thüringen is training an entire class of young men to become future mechanics.
