German-Italian trade weakens

German economics minister Sigmar Gabriel is in Rome today to meet the new Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi. Germany is Italy's most important trading partner, but Italy's ongoing political and economic woes have weighed on business. Renzi has pledged to slash red tape and radically restructure Italy's ailing economy.
