Kaymer wins US Open

Germany's Kaymer won the 114th US Open on Sunday, firing a final-round one-under par 69 to finish over 72 holes on 271.
That is nine-under-par overall and the second-lowest total in US Open history.
Second jointly on 279 at Pinehurst were the Americans Rickie Fowler and Erik Compton.
Kaymer adds his Open title to the PGA Championship he won at Whistling Straits in 2010.
The only German to have won two masters titles previously was Bernhard Langer.
Joins golfing elite
The 29-year-old's victory on Sunday makes him only the seventh player to win after leading every round - joining a select champions list that includes Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Walter Hagen, Ben Hogan, James Barnes and Tony Jacklin.
On Saturday, Kaymer struggled in difficult weather conditions but still managed a 2-over 72 that left him with a comfortable five-stroke advantage going into the final round.
Reacting after his win on Sunday, Kaymer said he had "managed to keep his game together."
For his efforts the winner collects $1.4 million (1 million euros).
