From Poland to Siberia

At the beginning of World War II, Josef Stalin invaded eastern Poland and embarked on a policy that would see millions of people forcibly moved to far flung corners of the Soviet Union. Seventy-five-year-old Irene Tomaszewski's family was deported to Siberia, where she was born in a gulag. That was just the beginning of an eight-year odyssey.
