Frequently Asked Questions about the Global Media Forum

Here is a helpful list of questions that have been asked before and answers that can help you register, find accommodation, attain press information and find us.

Registration

Q. I have attended Global Media Forum in previous years. But my login information from last year is not working. What should I do?
A. To register for the Global Media Forum, each participant must create a new account each year. According to data protection regulations, the account information will only be stored shortly after the event takes place and is then deleted. That is the reason why each participant must create a new account each year, even if he/she has attended previous conferences.

Q. Can someone else complete my online registration for me?/Can I complete the online registration for someone else?
A. For security reasons, we request each participant provide personal information to complete their registration, such as ID and passport number, and home address. It is therefore best that each participant complete his/her own registration.

Q. How can I register as a journalist/media representative?
A. To obtain press accreditation, register here. You will be asked to upload a copy of your press or company ID. Please note that this ID must be valid and will be checked for approval. Please keep an eye on your emails, as you will receive updates regarding the status of your accreditation.

Accommodation and travel

Q. Who can book my hotel/flight?
A. Generally, participants must book and pay for their own travel and accommodation. There are a number of hotels in Bonn for your accommodation. HRS is a helpful website.
