Fränkische Schweiz - the Sophienhöhle cave

May 4, 2013

Sophienhöhle is one of the most beautiful limestone caves in southern Germany. When it was discovered in 1833, bones of reindeer, mammoths and bears were found in it. The animal bones date from the Ice Age. Nowadays visitors can explore the mysterious subterranean world for themselves.
