The Discover Football Festival for Women in India

Women being able to play football in India is not a given. But at the Discover Football Festival in Goa, more than 100 women get the opportunity to discover the game and a different way of life.

We joined three of them on their journey: Farheen, a Muslim from Mumbai who’s only been playing football for a short time; Christin Cynthia from Goa, who dreams of becoming a professional; and Tsomo Mungod, who wants to show the world what Tibetan women can do with a ball at their feet.
