Authorities in the German city of Wiesbaden have removed a golden statue of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over fears it could spark a conflict between supporters and opponents of the leader. The statue had been part of an art installation.
The confusing golden effigy of the Turkish president has been removed by the fire brigade in the western German city of Wiesbaden. It was put up without the knowledge of city officials and was not generally welcomed.
