Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. Young girls bear the brunt of poverty as parents sacrifice their daughters’ wellbeing to bring up their sons. Girls frequently go without meals and many are forced to drop out of school to marry older men as mere teenagers. Beenish Ahmed reports from Malawi on a program which helps to keep girls in school.
