Hamburg Concert Hall
The Elbphilharmonie (or Elbe Philharmonic Hall) is a concert hall in the HafenCity district of Hamburg, Germany. It is one of the largest and most acoustically advanced concert halls in the world. The glassy construction sits on top of an old warehouse building near the historical Speicherstadt and was designed by architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron. Several years overdue and millions of euros overbudget, the hall was officially inaugurated with concerts by the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra on January 11, 2017.
