Ursula von der Leyen has said the European Commission backs Greece's spending plans as the bloc looks to rebound from the coronavirus pandemic. Athens will receive loans and grants in return for economic reforms.
The law will require German companies to report human rights or environmental abuses by suppliers. Supporters say it is a milestone, rights groups say it falls short.
If the bill is passed, the Central American country will become the first in the world to legally accept the well-known cryptocurrency.
