Huawei caught up in the US-China trade war - Boeing fights to get 737 Max airborne again - US soy bean farmers hope for trade conflict to end
Amid its MAX crisis, US planemaker Boeing has scaled back its presence at this week's aviation show. This gives a chance for European aerospace giant Airbus' new aircraft to steal a march against their US rival.
All of Boeing's best-selling planes have now been grounded since the crash of an Ethiopian Airlines flight. Earlier, President Donald Trump announced an emergency order to ban the airliners in US airspace.
The US Federal Aviation Administration has ordered Boeing to make changes to its 737 Max 8. However, it said the new airliner was still safe to fly in the United States.
The Trump administration has lashed out at Brussels for subsidies received by aerospace giant Airbus. A US official has described growing impatience in Washington, saying: "The time has come for action."
