China grounds Boeing 737 MAX planes after crash - Japan still dealing with Fukushima accident
Amid its MAX crisis, US planemaker Boeing has scaled back its presence at this week's aviation show. This gives a chance for European aerospace giant Airbus' new aircraft to steal a march against their US rival.
US firms are by far at the top of the global arms trade, according to an expert report. Germany's largest defense company landed at 25th among the globe's top 100; Russia, Turkey and China are also boosting production.
