Borussia Dortmund players arrived home tired but happy on Wednesday. They'll be playing in the club's second-ever Champions League final in London on May 25.
Diego Simeone's side put on a trademark display to avenge their 4-0 defeat of two weeks ago, as disciplined in defense as they were incisive on the attack. Both goals had more than a shade of BVB at their best.
Both goals hailed from a familiar source as Bayern sealed three points at home against rank outsiders AEK Athens. The victory never looked in real doubt, but the performance left much to be desired.
It hasn't been an easy season for Domenico Tedesco at Schalke, but in their latest European game both he and his team showed that things are improving. The result leaves Schalke close to the knockout rounds.
It was another flawed performance by Julian Nagelsmann's side, but this time they rewarded themselves with a point rather than dropping two. Making the knockouts though, looks a long shot.
